    Bei der Besetzung mit 3 Sopranen und 1 Alt anstatt 2 S und 2 A handelt es sich um die Frühfassung des Sanctus von 1724. Dieses wurde später für die h-Moll-Messe bearbeitet.

    Zum Fragment BWV 244/65 auf der Stimme Viola: unten auf S. 2, auf dem Kopf stehend, eineinhalb Takte der Violine I-Stimme (T. 6f., 23f. oder 34f., jeweils ZZ 3 bis ZZ 1 des Folgetaktes), laut Krit. Bericht NBA II/1a, S. 97, möglicherweise herrührend von der gleichzeitigen Herstellung des (verschollenen) Aufführungsmaterials zur EA der Matthäuspassion (1727?) (Verwechslung des Blattes)
