Libretto

G. Neumark (date of composition 1641; Erstdruck 1657), stanzas 1, 4, and 7 as well as 2 (without the closing line) and 5 (within movement 3 and 5) are kept literally. Movement 2, 3, 5, and 6 contain, in part, literal quotes from the other stanzas (author unknown)
