First performance on December 3, 1724. Subsequent performance around 1732–1734, as evidenced by the watermark and the characteristic handwriting styles of A. M. Bach in the violone part. Possibly another performance in 1736, as Bach was in Dresden on the first Advent of that year. Further performance after 1756 under J. F. Doles, as evidenced in the figured bass notation for the violone part
