Comments:
  • Die Partitur wurde von Bach vermutlich für eine (geplante?) Aufführung 1739 begonnen. Er brach die Arbeit an der Partitur nach S. 20 (Satz 10, Takt 42) ab; bis hierhin überliefert die Partitur die singuläre Neufassung mit teilweise stark revidierten Lesarten (vgl. BC D 2e).
    Die Handschrift wurde erst für die letzte Aufführung 1749 von J. N. Bammler (Hauptkopist H) fertiggestellt, mit der Hilfe Bachs (einige Eintragungen erkennbar). Dieser Teil der Partitur ist vermutlich eine Reinschrift nach der in langer Zeit mehrmals korrigierten Urpartitur 1724. Bach trug hier gelegentlich neue Lesarten ein.
    Es gibt viele Lesarten-Divergenzen zwischen dieser Partitur und dem Originalstimmensatz D-B Mus.ms. Bach St 110 im Zustand 1749 (= 4. Fassung), weil die bei der Partitur von Bach geschaffenen neuen Lesarten (1739 und 1749) in den Stimmensatz kaum eingetragen wurden. Die Partitur repräsentiert die Fassung 1749 nicht.
