• It is a collection of rules for dealing with dissonance in the three types of double counterpoint. Given the uncorrected fair copy of the autograph, it was probably copied from a previously unidentified source. The autograph was passed down together with BWV 1130. May have served as an illustrative supplement to the explanations of double counterpoint in Lorenz Christoph Mizler's annotated translation of Johann Joseph Fux's treatise <i>Gradus ad parnassum, oder Anführung zur Regelmäßigen musikalischen Composition</i> (Leipzig 1742).
