First performance on the occasion of the Leipzig city council election on August 28, 1730, in St. Nikolai (text print). Music lost; Bach’s authorship is likely due to his official responsibilities (Schering BJ 1933); for the annual commissioning of the council election music from Bach between 1729–1750 (except 1744), as indicated by the protocol of the held council elections (Protokoll bey gehalthenen Raths Wahlen), see Dok. II Nr. 264.
