um 1746-1747 (Bearbeitung)
Date of composition around 1746–1747; purpose unknown. This is an adaptation of the Stabat Mater by G. B. Pergolesi (see Platen BJ 1961), with a changed sequence at the end: In Bach's version, numbers 12 and 11 from Pergolesi became numbers 12 and 13. The major-key ending does not originate from Pergolesi but is also found in other central German sources of the Stabat Mater - relation to other works:
- is part of BWV diverse [o.Jg.]
