Bach himself entered the canon in riddle form in the "Stammbuch" of the notary and Weimar "Stadtschreiber" Johann Christoph Gebhard (see Maul 2011); Gebhard also played as a musical adjunct in the court orchestra there before Bach's appointment in Weimar. - Comment

The autograph single leaf was separated out of the family register (D-WZrs: Stb 456) and sold separately.
