First performance on June 4, 1724, as a Trinity Sunday cantata in the first Leipzig version; for the performance, the parts from the organ consecration cantata were used, and additional instrumental parts were created (no further revisions). Subsequent performance on May 20, 1731 (only movements 1–6, see original text print). Another performance after 1750 by W. F. Bach in Halle, possibly with a changed order of movements or in a shortened form (revised original parts)
