Comments:

Überwiegend Abschrift von der Hand J. H. Michels (f. 38-39, 44-47 und 54-55) sowie zweier weiterer Hamburger Kopisten; Schreiber wechselten bogenweise ab. Autograph sind das Titelblatt, f. 48/49 und 64/65 sowie zahlreiche Zusätze, insbesondere Vortragsangaben und abweichende Takte für einzelne Bassinstrumente.
Zunächst nur ein System für die Bassgruppe; nachträglich von Bach an verschiedenen Stellen einzelne abweichende Takte für das Fagott und/oder die Violoncelli hinzugefügt.
